holiday gifting: books

You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.
~C. S. Lewis

Maybe it's because I love to read so much, but I've always thought that books make good presents. Here's a gaggle of books, some of which might just be under my Christmas tree this year...

For the nightstand -

For the kitchen -

For the playroom -

For the coffee table -

(All books available here.)

ooh these look good - there's nothing like a good book - the C S Lewis quote sums things up perfectly. Have a wonderful weekend! Annie x

Totally with you. Books are always on my list. I love the library for my boys, but I still end up buying a lot of books for me. There's something so comforting about bookshelves full of books, and I always find it interesting to walk into other people's houses and look at their books. You can tell a lot about someone that way, don't you think? Great list!

i have my eye on the didion and bender books too.

i tried to read the "happiness project" and realized it was turning a quite happy girl into a raving, snarling, biting biznatch.

i was so irritated. i think society puts a little to much pressure on everyone to "BE" happy. how about grateful?
i'm grateful for you!
happy weekend love!

Thanks for the tidbit on "happiness" Katie! I've picked that book up so many times while out shopping but for some reason never came home with it. Maybe it wasn't meant to be after all!

I'm grateful for you, too! :)

Well I was done, but then my in-laws decided they wanted to choose names and exchange gifts this year! Jeesh. So I now have one more person left..
