design inspiration: blue redo

What was once a dreary, dull bathroom has been completely updated into a fresh, contemporary bath that's bursting with blue! I love the library sconce that lights the vanity and the vintage farmhouse sink sitting atop a simple blue table. The penny-tile floor is fabulous. If I was redoing our bathroom, I would totally use some of these ideas.

I'm pretty sure that House of Turquoise would love this. I think it's absolutely swoon-worthy! Hope you like it, Erin!

It's beautiful - but, don't forget that the way we look in the mirror in the morning, while preparing for a new day, or an exciting evening out, is vitally important. If we think we look good in the mirror, we will feel and act that way when we walk out of that bathroom. That adorable overhead lamp is going to cast some really bad shadows on the face - you'll end up spending a lot more time than necessary trying to undo the damage caused simply by bad overhead lighting.

Thanks, Anon, for the helpful decorating comments. And you're right, the overhead lighting alone would cast an awful shadow over your face... if there were room for wall sconces + an overhead light we'd be in good shape!

The good thing is that this was designed for a beach-y house so maybe looking perfect is such a big deal...
