We had a pretty rough night last night with lots of sick and little sleep. My foggy head is having a very hard time concentrating on much of anything today.

I'd much rather just stare at Linda Donohue's beautiful paintings and imagine them in my 'some-day' house...

If it had been any other day, we probably would have felt guilty about all the sweets we ate, but since those bunny-shaped chocolates and jelly-bean filled eggs come but once a year, we shamelessly devoured them.

hi!

Just like I knew it was right to step away for a while a few months ago, it feels so right to be back now, starting again from where I left off. Hello again!

And now it's spring here in Chicago! And it feels so nice. Even if it is only 50 degrees. And supposed to rain. But I'm not gonna let that get me down because we had a rotten winter (rotten!) and a little rain now means gorgeous flowers and green grass later.

For now, I'm just so excited to be back and to show you all the wonderful things that I've been filing away, knowing that I'd share all the loveliness with you some day again. The day is come! And today I am loving her cheery, colorful prints...

monday mornings

Oh boy, am I getting off to a slow start today.

It all started with the perfect morning, actually. The kind where the cool breeze was blowing in just the right way so that we had to pull the blankets up under our chins. I just laid in my cozy bed listening to the birds outside and cuddling with Lulu and Wade. Our bed was so warm and cozy and peaceful... no one wanted to get up!

And now I'm just moving in slo-mo. I wish I could crawl back in bed!
