Creepy but oh so cool. There is something so blatant about hands. Did you ever read that book "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers"? She interviews doctors and plastic surgeons who have to work on cadavers and they all say they can handle seeing the face--it looks dead and there is no soul. But it's the hands that creep them out. Hands always look as if they might grab at you at any moment, human or not, alive or dead.
Thanks for visiting, everyone! I think we all agree that the creepy factor outweighs the cool.
Petunia Face - I actually have that book sitting on my night table just waiting to be read! I could totally get that about the hands. They really do show so much about a person.
so wonderful, but in a completely artistic way. Don't think I could handle having one in my home.
ReplyDeletei agree, mme. french! but i think if i saw it in anyone else's home, i'd think they were pretty cool...
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I'd be creeped out if these were at my house...
